INTERVIEW WITH

103-year-old witness recounts World War II

Interview Information

103-year-old witness recounts World War II. This 103-year-old witness was born in 1922. Today, as one of the last contemporary witnesses of the World War II era, this 103-year-old witness tells us the following: – How he reached the age of 103 – How he was drafted as a young soldier in 1941 – How he survived World War II – How he met his wife after World War II – What the 103-year-old wishes for the future. This 103-year-old is a cautionary example that war can never be a solution and that peace is the only way forward. Therefore, it has been a great honor for me to interview this 103-year-old witness as part of my peace project “Life Lessons from 100-Year-Olds.”
